1/28/16 GAPS Diet: Healing the Gut, Part II

On Thursday, 1/28/16,  the Lehigh Valley Chapter of The Weston A. Price Foundation will present the work of Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride in “GAPS Diet: Healing the Gut, Part II”, at the United Steelworkers Hall, Bethlehem. Doors open at 6:30pm. The presentation begins at 7. Free admission (donations invited). Ample on-site parking lot is accessible from Center St (at the equivalent of 316 Center St, if you’re googling).

This is the second part of our hugely popular presentation on The Gut and Psychology Syndrome Diet. In this second DVD, Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride will be delving into the diet itself and discussing ways to prepare foods to best heal and seal the gut.

Please note: there will be a brief recap of the Part I presentation so if you were unable to attend the Fall 2015 presentation, fear not, you can still benefit from part II.

     The GAPS Diet has its foundation in the Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD) created by Dr. Sidney Valentine Haas to heal digestive disorders.  Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride has taken SCD and evolved it further to create a full protocol for healing digestive disorders and subsequent issues.

Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride holds a degree in Medicine and Postgraduate degrees in both Neurology and Human Nutrition.  In her clinic in Cambridge she specializes in nutrition for children and adults with behavioral and learning disabilities, and adults with digestive and immune system disorders.

Dr. Campbell-McBride set up The Cambridge Nutrition Clinic in 1998.  She realized that nutrition played a critical role in helping children and adults overcome their disabilities and has pioneered the use of probiotics in this field. She believes that the link between learning disabilities, the food and drink that we take, and the condition of our digestive system is absolute. The results of her work have supported her position on this subject.

About the Presentation

Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride is a world-renowned medical doctor, nutritional consultant and developer of the Gut and Psychology Syndrome (GAPS) Diet. She holds a degree in Medicine and Postgraduate degrees in both Neurology and Human Nutrition.  In her clinic in Cambridge she specializes in nutrition for children and adults with behavioral and learning disabilities, and adults with digestive and immune system disorders. For our fall presentation, we will be showing a DVD of one of her recent Wise Traditions, live presentations including her power point.
